Job Description Construction Project ManagerConstruction Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial and public-sector building projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors and quality assurance/quality control while ensuring compliance with DSA and public works requirements. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and experience delivering projects in healthcare, education, museums, parks and other city owned facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of construction projects including preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, construction, commissioning and closeout.Develop, manage and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera; monitor progress and drive corrective action to meet milestones.Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasting and change order processes; work with estimators and subcontractors to control cost and value engineer when needed.Administer contracts and coordinate subcontractor procurement, scopes of work, and performance; enforce contract compliance and manage claims and disputes.Oversee QA/QC programs, ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications, and coordinate testing and inspections.Prepare, review and manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and technical documentation; maintain thorough project documentation and logs.Ensure compliance with DSA, public works, city-owned facility requirements and applicable codes and regulations; coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction and handle permitting and inspection processes.Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and stakeholders to resolve issues and communicate schedule, budget and quality status.Lead safety programs on-site and enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct site reviews and pre-construction safety planning.Manage project closeout activities including punch lists, commissioning, warranties, final invoicing, lien releases and preparation of closeout packages for DSA or other governing bodies.Mentor and supervise project engineers, superintendents and field staff; promote teamwork and continuous improvement.Prepare regular progress reports, forecasts and presentations for senior management and owners.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field; equivalent experience considered.Minimum 510 years of progressive construction project management experience on commercial and public works projects; experience with healthcare, education, museums, parks and city owned facilities strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience with DSA processes and closeout, and familiarity with public contracting requirements and prevailing wage regulations.Proven experience in budgeting, estimating, cost control, scheduling (MS Project or Primavera) and change order management.Strong QA/QC and commissioning experience; ability to manage submittals, RFIs and document control.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work with owners, design teams and contractorsBenefits- Medical, Dental, and Health Insurance- Stock Interest in the Employee Ownership Plan- Health Savings Account- Flexible Spending Account- Employer Paid Life Insurance- 401(k) with employer match- Open Personal Time Off- Sick Time- Paid Holidays- Tuition Reimbursement- Employee Referral Bonus- Employee Assistance Program- Flexible Work Hours- Company Vehicle or Allowance- Gas Card 401k Bonus Relocation Telecommute - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
