Windows Migration Specialist (Contract to Hire) (Boston)

Job Title: Windows 11 Deployment TechnicianLocation: Boston, MA (5 days onsite)Overview:We are seeking a Deployment Technician to support a large-scale Windows 11 migration initiative. This project involves upgrading and deploying approximately 5,000 devices across an enterprise environment, including both new hardware rollouts and in-place upgrades of existing machines (starting with laptops). This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, with potential for extension based on additional upcoming initiatives.Responsibilities:Perform Windows 11 upgrades on existing devices and deploy new machinesConfigure, image, and provision laptops and desktopsMigrate user data, settings, and applications as neededTroubleshoot hardware and OS-related issues during deploymentProvide basic end-user support during and after device rolloutTrack and document progress, issues, and resolutionsCollaborate with internal IT teams to ensure smooth deployment executionRequirements:2+ years of hands-on desktop support or deployment experienceStrong experience with Windows 10/11 imaging, configuration, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with device provisioning tools and processes (e.g., SCCM, Intune, or similar)Experience with large-scale device rollouts or migration projects preferredStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work onsite 5 days per week in BostonAdditional Details:Immediate need for 1 technician, with potential to add additional resources as the project rampsProject expected to run through October with possible extension based on additional workstreams
