Requirements Summary of FunctionsThe Storeroom Clerk is responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and counting inventory for the stock room and associated areas. Responsible for ensuring that all inventory records are always accurate through daily, weekly or monthly cycle counts. Assignments may involve working with confidential information, data entry, professional proofreading of departmental documents and the use of inventory control devices. Major Duties and Responsibilities:Itemizes stockroom stock and works with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planner and Maintenance personnel to determine items to be held in inventory. Evaluates and organizes parts in stockroom and other storage areas, based on size, weight, usage and other related factors of items and storing them accordingly. Communicates layout of storage areas with maintenance department and other stakeholders if changes are made. Responsible for the care and preservation of items received, stored and shipped. Keeps data base of items sent out for repair and when they are scheduled for return. Also notifying immediate supervisor when repaired parts are overdue. Inputs requisitions for stock required to keep inventory within normal minimum and maximum ranges. Process MRP report as needed and place/receive orders in a timely manner. Completes cycle counts to keep stock levels adequate for normal plant operation. Report inventory discrepancies to the SR. MRO Buyer. Use NAV15 inventory software to record, track and maintain all inventory related data. Replenishes stock in required areas as needed using FIFO. Ensure each item is labeled with item number and placed in Bin location reflected in NAV. Use proper back stocking procedures ensuring that all items are clearly identified. Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines. Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSH, EPA, FDA, HACCP and SQF regulations. Comply with GMPs in the plant. Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system. Organizational Relationships: Position reports to the SR. MRO Buyer. Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent Requires demonstrated experience in a stock room supporting a production facility. Requires proficiency with an ERP system and experience with Navision would be an advantage. An understanding of Spanish would be an advantage.
