At ISG, we’re seeking a dynamic Facilities Assessment Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in enhancing the functionality and safety of the facilities we evaluate and design.In this role, you will work directly with Thad Dahling, Facility Management and Planning Strategist, and Tiara Marcus, Project Management Practice Group Leader. You will also collaborate with a dedicated team of project managers, architects, engineers, technical writers and business development specialists that support the overall firm.The Facilities Assessment Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of building systems and infrastructure including, but limited to site conditions, building envelope, interior finishes, accessibility items, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural, identifying maintenance and improvement needs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves performing detailed assessments, developing reports, and recommending solutions to enhance facility operations and efficiency.Essential DutiesTravel to and conduct and lead facility condition assessments, from the initial planning stages, through the final deliverable to clientCreate and manage project schedules based on client needsWork directly with clients to understand goals and current building or system challenges and incorporate these into overall project scopeWork in partnership with internal ISG team members and departments to develop a high-quality product including customized databases, dashboards, or executive summary reportsProvide cost estimating on building prioritized repair, replacement, and maintenance items.Assist in creating the final deliverable to client and review for quality assuranceProvide sufficient information as part of the facility condition assessment, to ensure success during the subsequent design phases, or in the master planning processSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, including five (5)+ years of hands‑on experience evaluating structural, exterior, mechanical, and electrical building systemsRelevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM)) are a plus, however, relatable industry experience may also be considered3-5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related fieldAbility to empathetically connect with clients and internal team membersAbility to lead client communication and maintain client relationships for multiple projectsFamiliarity with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power BI is beneficial, but not requiredDemonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of developmentAbility to travel to various locations that ISG servesISG Employee Owner BenefitsMedical, dental, and visionPaid time off, pro-rated amount available on your start datePaid holidays and paid volunteer timePaid parental leaveBi-annual profit sharingEmployee Ownership Stock Plan (ESOP)401K retirement planLife insuranceHSA and FSA optionsBereavement leaveSupplemental voluntary benefitsShort term and long-term disabilityParking reimbursement, varies on office location
