The Job:We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of software systems for autonomous aerial suppression. You’ll work cross-functionally with hardware engineers and other team members to deliver robust and reliable solutions for firefighters.What You Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field3–5+ years of professional experience in embedded software design and developmentDemonstrated competency in Object Oriented Programming with experience in multi-layered system architectureStrong proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded and robotics applicationsHands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and real-time operating systemsSolid understanding of computer vision techniques (OpenCV, SLAM, or related)Experience with hardware/software integration and low-level driversExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skillsPreferred (but not required):Background in aerospace, UAVs, or safety-critical systemsExperience with physics-based simulation engines (eg.
