Fire Sprinkler Fitters About the Role This role reports to the onsite Supervisor and is located in Dallas, TX. AFS is looking for Fire Sprinkler Fitters for immediate opportunities! If you have experience with installing, servicing, fire sprinkler systems including wet and dry systems than apply now. What you’ll do (day to day) Achieve any tasks necessary to complete work on a given job site in a timely, effective manner. Read project drawings for correct installation. If necessary, work after hours or weekends. Protect and maintain company equipment. Work in a safe manner as outlined by company or contractor’s safety procedures. On-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of our customers Fire Protection Systems. Identifying code and non-conformance issues. Installation of Fire Protection Systems. Perform any other tasks assigned by Sprinkler Supervisor or Field Superintendent. Any other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience 3+ years’ experience in trade servicing water-based fire sprinkler systems. A commercial sprinkler system background or a basic level of comfort and knowledge with pipe fitting, electrical work, and commercial sprinkler system fittings. Candidates must be able to set up and troubleshoot wet, dry, and pre-action valves. Candidates must be able to reset and calibrate hi/lo air devices. Preferred candidates have experience working on and troubleshooting fire pumps. Ability to run a power machine. Must pass a drug screen. Candidates must have a valid Texas driver's license. Candidates must be local to the Dallas area. Candidates must have recent experience. Must be able to show proof of work eligibility. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Why join us?
