Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant to join our team.
This is a full-time, internal corporate position working on the Marketing Technology & Transformation side of Sumeru Inc. from our LA office.
The core focus of this position is to manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations for multiple clients across diverse industries and use cases. We are seeking candidates who possess a range of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Strategy skills.
What you’ll do:
Meet with clients to analyze their work practices and understand their businesses to define needs and customize solutions using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
Provide oversight and governance of best-practice standards and frameworks for client’s Marketing Cloud system and integrated MarTech stack
Ensure sound integration, data, and business architecture design throughout all stages of the project lifecycle
Work with stakeholders to define business-value based objectives and user stories
Develop the Architectural Roadmap for Marketing Cloud implementations
Establish the technical framework to support the client's strategy and lifecycle
Develop innovative solutions, taking into consideration system performance, scalability, and availability with realistic implementation schedules
Guide and advise on the Marketing Cloud features, functionality, and additional integrations needed to accomplish the desired outcome.
Keep up to date on Marketing Cloud functionality and make recommendations regarding potential usage and optimizations for existing clients
Participate in complex discussions with client stakeholders, partners, or technology, particularly when determining the technical requirements/capabilities needed to meet business goals
Understand and validate the details of deliverables as provided by vendor and project resources
Evaluate existing project management processes and drive continuous improvement practices
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and 2+ years experience with API testing
Strong understanding and working knowledge of Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio
Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM & other 3rd Party Technologies
Proficient with AMPScript, able to read and write SQL and understand the SSJS use case
Experience leading new Marketing Cloud implementations including Business Units, CRM Integration, User Security, Email and Cloud Pages design templates and IP warming
Experience with Segmentation
Strong understanding of SQA methodologies
Experience with A/B testing, campaign analysis, and reporting
Staying up-to-date on Email Marketing trends knows how to direct clientele on strategy
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an Agile environment
Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (2 weeks)
Experience in the full software lifecycles from design to deployment
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document defects
Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
Client ownership/client engagement experience preferred
An ability to conduct detailed training sessions in Marketing Cloud
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
Experience with additional marketing automation platforms such as Pardot, Marketo, and Eloqua is preferred
Intermediate or Advanced knowledge and use of Salesforce.com.
Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud feature sets including Automations, Journeys, Mobile Studio, Social Studio, and Ad Studio
Experience implementing best practice infrastructure programs including concepts such as Lead scoring, Lead Lifecycle, Lead Nurture, and UTM / campaign attribution tracking
Knowledge of MS Dynamics, Siebel On-Demand, NetSuite, or other CRM systems, preferred
License/Certifications:
Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant, required
Certified Marketing Cloud Developer, preferred
Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, preferred
