Lead Commercial Electrician

Job Description Sector 7 Electrical LLC is seeking a Lead Commercial Electrician to run onsite electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across commercial projects in the Springfield, MO area.Position Summary The Lead Commercial Electrician will oversee and participate in commercial electrical work, ensuring installations are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and project specifications. This role balances hands-on electrical execution with leadership responsibilities to keep work progressing efficiently and to quality standards.You will serve as a go-to leader on job sites—coordinating daily tasks, mentoring other electricians, and helping maintain strong communication with team members and project stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day commercial electrical activities, including installing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components.Ensure all work is performed safely and follows relevant electrical codes, inspection requirements, and company standards.Coordinate jobsite tasks and workflow, including assigning activities to team members and tracking progress against project needs.Interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to complete work accurately.Identify issues early (materials, workmanship, system performance) and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.Required Qualifications Journeyman-level electrician experience with demonstrated commercial electrical installation and maintenance capability.Strong understanding of electrical codes, safe work practices, and jobsite compliance expectations.Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.Proven troubleshooting skills across typical commercial electrical systems.Leadership experience or the ability to direct and support teammates effectively in a hands-on environment.Preferred Qualifications Experience leading commercial electrical crews or serving as a lead on multi-trade job sites.Familiarity with commercial project workflows, documentation, and quality expectations.Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with others on site.Experience working through inspections and addressing punch-list items to meet project closeout requirements.Compensation Hourly rate: $25.00 - $30+
