Research Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery Location: Full-time, In-Person — New York, NY Institution: Columbia University Irving Medical Center Start Date: Spring to early Summer 2026 Commitment: 1 or 2 years Stipend: $30,000/year (no salary; stipend-based position)About the OpportunityJoin the Division of Hip & Knee Reconstructive Surgery at one of the world’s premier academic medical centers, located in vibrant New York City. This role is ideal for highly motivated future orthopedic surgeons seeking a meaningful gap year (or two) before applying to medical school or orthopedic residency.As a Research Assistant, you will play a central role in driving forward a high-impact research agenda. You will lead multiple clinical research projects from inception to publication, with the expectation of producing 8–12+ manuscripts in top orthopedic journals.
