Title: Product ManagerLocation : Rockville, MDTarget Start Date : ASAPType: contractPay Rate: DOEThe contractor will lead business analysis activities across one or more functional areas, guiding features and enhancements throughout the full software development lifecycle—from initial scoping through production rollout and post-launch evaluation.This role is responsible for requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation in close collaboration with stakeholders, user representatives, and cross-functional delivery teams including engineering, quality assurance, and architecture.You will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring alignment on business needs, priorities, and the technical approach. This role also partners with user testing, training, and product support teams to ensure successful adoption and ongoing support of delivered solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead business analysis efforts across the full software development lifecycle, from discovery through post-release evaluationElicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and operational requirements to ensure alignment with business objectivesAct as a liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams to drive a shared understanding of priorities, requirements, and solutionsFacilitate communication and alignment across cross-functional teamsTranslate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteriaCreate artifacts such as process flows, workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and decision tables to support requirements clarityCollaborate with engineering and QA teams to prepare and refine backlog items, ensuring readiness for development and testingSupport sprint planning by ensuring requirements are complete, estimates are accurate, and dependencies are addressedPartner with user testing, training, data quality, and product support teams as needed throughout deliveryValidate delivered solutions to ensure they meet business needs and defined success criteriaIdentify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as neededRecommend and support process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and effectivenessDevelop and deliver presentations and documentation for stakeholders and end users at various levelsSupport production releases and post-launch activities, including potential after-hours support as needed Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience6+ years of experience working on cross-functional teams delivering software solutionsStrong experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle practicesProven ability to quickly understand new domains, systems, and business processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, actionable insightsExperience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentStrong organizational and documentation skills Preferred QualificationsExperience with SQL or similar data analysis toolsFamiliarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MIROExperience working in regulated industries or complex enterprise environmentsBackground in domains such as registration/licensing, financial services, insurance, or mortgageWelcome to ConsultNet, a premier national provider of technology talent and solutions.
