We're Hiring: Field Robotics Engineer (Hybrid | Bay Area)We're looking for a hands-on Field Robotics Engineer who thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world deployment.This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge autonomy technology—helping machines understand and navigate the world in real time using advanced sensor systems.What You'll DoPrototype & IntegrateDesign and build components (sensor mounts, housings, etc.) using CAD, 3D printing, and light machiningIntegrate cameras, GNSS/RTK, IMUs, and compute systems into robotic platformsField Testing & ExperimentationExecute vehicle and drone test campaignsOperate, troubleshoot, and refine systems in real-world environmentsCollect and analyze sensor and telemetry dataMaintain hardware systems for reliability and repeatabilityCustomer-Facing EngineeringSupport live demos for customers and partnersTranslate real-world use cases into engineering requirementsIterate quickly based on field feedbackCollaboration & DocumentationCreate build guides, wiring diagrams, and test reportsWork cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and autonomy teamsHelp coordinate contractors and external partnersWhat We're Looking For3+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, hardware, or automationStrong builder mindset—you enjoy working directly with physical systemsExperience with sensors (cameras, GPS/GNSS, IMUs) and embedded systemsFamiliarity with CAD, Python, and/or C++Comfortable working directly with customers and translating needs into solutionsDetailsLocation: Hybrid (Bay Area – Redwood City / Petaluma area)Travel: ~20–40% (field testing and demos)Compensation: $135K – $175K + equityWork Authorization: Must be a U.S. Person (no sponsorship available)Why Join?You'll be part of a small, high-impact team building real-world autonomy systems across industries like automotive, agriculture, healthcare, and more.
