Director of Accounting Shared ServicesDallas, TX - 2 days onsite | Compensation: $200-225K + 20% BonusOne of Vaco's publicly-traded clients that recently underwent a growth spurt is looking to hire a Shared Services director to lead a large-scale, multi-functional shared services organization supporting a Fortune 100 enterprise. This will have 7-8 direct reports (Managers) with an overall team umbrella of ~100-120 employees across multiple locations. Primary focus for this role will include monthly accounting close, account reconciliations and project management across transformation initiatives.Day-to-DayWill oversee general ledger accounting, month-end close process, reconciliations and financial accuracy while ensuring timely and accurate close and KPI achievement across organization.Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, automation (RPA), and digitization efforts.Standardize and streamline processes across business units and regions.Leverage data analytics and benchmarking to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality improvements.Champion a continuous improvement mindset using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.Partner closely with business unit CFOs, controllers, and operational leaders to ensure alignment and service satisfaction.Act as the primary escalation point for shared services-related issues.Communicate performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.12-15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or shared services operations.5-7+ years of leadership experience managing large, multi-layered teams (including managers of managers).Experience within a large, complex, publicly traded organization (Fortune 500 or equivalent).Deep expertise in shared services models, including global business services (GBS).Strong knowledge of SOX controls, compliance, and audit requirements.Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.Vaco by Highspring is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, religion or creed, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, status as a veteran, union membership, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, or any other protected characteristics as required by federal, state or local law.
