Power BI Lead DeveloperAustin, TX (4 days work from office)CTH/FTEPosition Summary10+ years' experience Lead PowerBI Developer to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of complex data visualizations and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands on expertise in PowerBI, leading offshore team, as well as working with various stakeholders independently. Candidate should work onsite at Austin, TX.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect & Develop: Design and create complex, interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI using advanced features (DAX, M Code, Level of Detail expressions, Actions, and Parameters).Data Modeling & SQL: Should have extensive experience in designing PowerBI Data Models as well as complex SQLs.Technical Leadership: Lead a team of BI developers, conducting code reviews and enforcing best practices for report performance, usability, and visual aesthetics.Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI datasets (DirectQuery vs. Import) for maximum performance, aiming for sub-second rendering on large datasets.Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for visual analytics.Migration & Modernization: Lead efforts to migrate legacy Tableau dashboards into a modern, optimized Power BI environment.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience: 10+ years of total experience in Business Intelligence, with 7+ years of hands-on.Power BI Expertise: Deep knowledge of DAX (Advanced formulas), Power Query (M), Power BI Service, Power BI Dataflows, and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).Tableau Proficiency: Good to have experience on Tableau, otherwise should be able to quickly learn Tableau for Tableau to PowerBI migrationSQL Knowledge: Advanced SQL programming skills (Stored Procedures, CTEs, Views) for data manipulation.Data Warehouse Concepts: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, ETL, and data modeling methodologies.Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and offshore team independently.Email-
