Public Policy Coordinator Position OverviewThe main function of a Public Policy Coordinator is to research, develop and communicate policies.This role requires familiarity with the U.S. political landscape and major policy think tanks to evaluate how AI models navigate sensitive topics. You'll leverage political expertise to identify weaknesses in AI reasoning and contribute to the development of effective policy and safety guardrails.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and develop policies and communication related to freedom of expression, products, online safety, cybersecurity, and privacy.Critically analyze and communicate the costs and benefits of refinements to policies and their implementation. Draft policy related materials including enforcement protocols. Research policy areas of interest to the company. Partner with senior team members on a wide range of projects.QualificationsBachelors degree in public policy, public administration, political science, law, economics, statistics, or related field; masters degree preferred.3-5 ears of progressive experience in public policy, government relations, legislative affairs, or advocacy, preferably in a state or federal policy environment.Proven experience in grant writing, program budgeting, and grant compliance reporting.Understanding of US politics, specifically current administrationBaseline knowledge of AIDemonstrated interest in politics, policy, social media, online content and advertising, e-commerce, and/or technology.Working knowledge of prominent national think tanks and policy research institutions below.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.BenefitsCreative Circle's Freelance Employee benefits package includes eligibility for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan, dental/vision/term life package, discount prescription program, critical illness, accident, tele-behavioral health, and 401(k) plan.
