Securities Trading Attorney

OverviewSusquehanna has a job opportunity available for a securities trading attorney to join our in-house counsel/legal team. In this role, you will focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements related to the trading and financing of securities and other exchange-traded and OTC financial products (clearing agreements, ISDAs, MSLAs, GMRAs, MCAs, etc.). Your role will be that of a liaison, strategizing with trading desks, operations, compliance, tax and other colleagues on a comprehensive array of issues that are as diverse and multifaceted as our continually evolving business.In this role, you willProvide frontline legal support to various trading desks within SusquehannaDraft, review, negotiate, and oversee prime brokerage, clearing, direct market access, ISDAs, trade confirmations and various other trading-related agreementsOversee and coordinate outside counsel on an ad hoc basisWhat We're Looking ForMinimum of 5-7 years of securities trading related legal experience required, experience in financial services industry preferredMust possess strong negotiation skillsStrong organization, effective planning, problem solving, and analytical skills requiredSuperior communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to liaise comfortably with all levels of management and outside counselMust exhibit initiative in obtaining information needed to proceed with projects and accomplish tasks with minimal supervisionAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing situations or urgent requests that may arise with little or no noticeMust possess discretion and sensitivity when working with confidential information and safeguard such information appropriatelyAbility to exhibit independent judgment when evaluating projects or assignment needsKnowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Willingness to work additional and flexible hours on occasionVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the futureAbout SusquehannaSusquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation.
