This role supports both winding and downstream pack-out operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities Environment, Health & Safety Follow and promote all plant safety standards and proceduresMaintain a strong commitment to safe work practices and zero injuriesIdentify hazards and support compliance with safety and environmental regulationsMaintain a clean and organized work environment in alignment with housekeeping standardsProduction & Equipment Operation Operate and monitor winding and forming equipment to meet production goalsEnsure all doffs are labeled with correct position ID tagsMaintain cleanliness and alignment of strand contact points (e.g., take-down blade, collet, guide eye)Perform routine inspections of equipment and product qualityReplace consumables such as rubber bands and end caps as requiredEnsure all carriers and finished goods are properly labeled prior to releaseQuality & Process Control Conduct visual inspections to ensure product meets quality specificationsAccurately complete production and quality documentationOperate in-line chop equipment, ensuring accurate weights and product standardsMaintain performance levels in line with established targetsPack-Out & Material Handling Assemble containers, apply labels, and palletize finished productComplete tally sheets and production documentation accuratelyTransport materials using forklifts or other material handling equipment as requiredContinuous Improvement & Maintenance Perform and document CILT (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, Tighten) activitiesParticipate in TPM initiatives, including Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Kaizen events, and breakdown analysisSupport shift-to-shift communication and operational handoffsUtilize production monitoring systems to track performance and identify issuesEnvironmental Responsibility Perform job duties in a manner that minimizes environmental impactFollow all procedures for waste disposal, recycling, and chemical handlingQualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishAuthorized to work in the United StatesAbility to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights)Ability to stand for extended periods during shiftsMust pass pre-employment drug screeningPreferred Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentForklift experience or willingness to be trainedSkills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to operate and troubleshoot production equipmentBasic computer skills and ability to use production monitoring systemsStrong problem-solving and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamContinuous improvement mindsetBenefits Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHSA with company contributionHealth & Dependent Care FSAs401(k): 100% match up to 6% + 2% company contributionCompany-paid life and disability coverageVoluntary benefits (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, identity protection, supplemental life)Paid time off & holidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellness incentivesEqual Opportunity Employer OCF is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.Powered by JazzHR
