You'll partner day-to-day with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Accounting & Inventory ManagementMaintain and improve standard costing systems, including annual cost roll processesAnalyze material, labor, and overhead variances and provide actionable insightsMonitor inventory valuation, reserves, and obsolescenceReconcile inventory subledger to general ledger and investigate discrepanciesEnsure accurate cost allocation across products, departments, and production lines Financial Analysis & ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reportsPerform gross margin analysis by product, customer, and channelSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including standard cost updatesProvide detailed cost analysis to support pricing and profitability initiativesSupport month-end close and initiatives to improve close timelines Manufacturing & Operations SupportPartner with plant leadership to track production performance and efficiency metricsAnalyze production yields, scrap, and labor utilizationSupport continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction effortsAssist with capital expenditure analysis and ROI modeling Controls & ComplianceMaintain internal controls over inventory and cost accounting processesSupport internal and external auditsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Systems & Process ImprovementDrive improvements in ERP systems and cost accounting processesDevelop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIsSupport system implementations or upgrades related to costing and inventory Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4-8+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, CPG experience a plusStrong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accountingExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)Knowledge of US GAAPAdvanced proficiency in Excel; experience with data tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferredCPA designation desirable but not required Key CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate complex cost data into business insightsEffective communication and cross-functional collaborationHigh attention to detail and accuracyProactive mindset with continuous improvement focus Why join the ECOS Team:Comprehensive group insurance including medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, and supplemental insurance plans including accident and critical illness401k with company matchPaid vacation and sick daysTen paid holidays per year including your birthdayPaid parental bonding leaveSustainability incentives for purchasing eco-friendly carWellness programs and incentivesSalary range: $90,000 to $110,000 annually
