Process Engineer

Collaborate with Business Development Managers and Development Engineers to support the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition to production equipment and processes.Assist in developing in-process specifications, equipment settings, and process plans for new products introduced to the manufacturing floor.Develop and maintain yield calculations for assigned products throughout various stages of manufacturing.Support the Operations Manager in implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with the company’s quality policy.Assist with the specification and selection of laboratory instrumentation, manufacturing equipment, and process tools.Interface with customers, as required, regarding product specifications, testing requirements, and technical issues.Participate in the selection and implementation of computer software and hardware used for process engineering activities.Monitor and track energy consumption associated with manufacturing equipment and processes.Periodically evaluate equipment performance based on yield, efficiency, reliability, and ease of operation, documenting results and maintaining historical performance data.Develop, review, and maintain process plans to ensure products are manufactured according to current specifications and requirements.Update existing process plans to incorporate improvements in quality, yield, efficiency, and process performance, maintaining accurate revision and distribution records.Identify departmental equipment requirements and establish calibration schedules and equipment handling procedures where applicable.Issue and manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) reports, ensuring actions are implemented effectively and verified for completion.Apply appropriate statistical techniques to evaluate process capability, product characteristics, and manufacturing performance, and initiate process improvements when necessary.Ensure products are properly labeled, packaged, stored, and transferred to shipping in a timely manner.Define critical process points requiring testing and verify that products are tested according to approved procedures and appropriately segregated based on test status.Participate in periodic product and process reviews and implement resulting corrective or improvement actions.Prepare and revise Level 3 and Level 4 manufacturing documentation in accordance with current ISO 9001 requirements.Work closely with Development Engineers to provide process engineering support throughout the product design and development process.Maintain and control departmental quality records and documentation as directed.Establish and maintain procedures for product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.Ensure non-conforming products are properly reworked, recycled, scrapped, or otherwise dispositioned in accordance with approved process plans and company procedures.Only Apply if you are US Citizen OR Green Card Holder (This is Mandatory)
