CookAt SUMO our cooks are responsible for providing a pleasurable dining experience for our customers by preparing high quality food; must manage all aspects of food preparation and production in an environment that meets sanitation guidelines. Must have the ability to work with other staff members in the facility, to undertake and complete multiple tasks, and maintain a quality product.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintaining all kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.Prepares recipes as directed by supervisorMaintains full knowledge of food itemsMaintains a safe, clean, sanitized, organized, and stocked work areaPrepare food items for customers as requested, including special requests, in a timely and consistent mannerKnead, shape, cut, or roll food products by handMeasure or weigh ingredients for food preparationPrepare appetizers, salads, or cold dishesCheck Food before it is served to customersControl and minimize wasteComply with outlined safety regulations and proceduresOther duties assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required2-3 years food service or restaurant experience preferredStrong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation processMust be able to obtain Food Handlers permit within two weeks after employmentAbility to read, comprehend, and follow recipesPhysical Requirements:Lift up to 20 lbs.Remain on your feet for several hours at a time
