Quality Technician IISouthampton, PA (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=1330+Industrial+Blvd+Southampton+PA+USA+18966)Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionOVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Quality Technician II to directly support our manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESRelease product for shipment by verifying required documentation, certifications, and customer-specific quality requirements are complete and accurateInterpret and apply basic GD&T principles to support inspection and manufacturing processesPerform dimensional verification of PPAPs, first article inspections (FAI), and production parts to ensure compliance with specificationsSupport production by interpreting manufacturing documentation, troubleshooting quality concerns, and coaching employees on proper measurement and inspection techniquesConduct technical inspections of raw materials and manufactured components, including receiving inspection, in accordance with established proceduresCollect, analyze, and communicate quality data and metrics to support process improvement and decision-makingPrioritize and coordinate inspection activities and work order tasks within the QA lab to meet operational demandsPerform internal audits of processes, dimensional conformance, workmanship, and documentation to ensure quality system complianceMaintain proficiency in all aspects of the Quality Technician II role while consistently meeting quality, accuracy, and productivity expectationsTrain and mentor new quality inspectors on daily responsibilities, inspection methods, and quality proceduresRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably metal fabrication, operating within a continuous improvement or quality management system (QMS), with hands-on inspection experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings with employees, customers, and business partnersDemonstrated mathematical aptitude, including the ability to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and basic statistical data interpretationAbility to collect, analyze, and interpret data, including graphs, trends, and quality metricsProficiency in standard business software, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet-based systemsExperience with measuring equipment, dimensional inspection, blueprint reading, and GD&T is preferredCertified Quality Technician (CQT) certification through ASQ is preferredEDUCATIONAssociate degree in related field preferredLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEM-FTOTAL COMPENSATION INCLUDESHealth/dental/vision coverageEmployer-paid and supplemental life insuranceShort- and long-term disability insuranceGenerous paid time off and holiday payMonthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify)401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4%Education support programSafety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursementReferral bonusesBonus plan for all full-time employeesWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
