Salary: $15.00 HourlyLocation : Lake Forest, ILJob Type: TemporaryDepartment: Recreation DepartmentDivision: Senior ResourcesOpening Date: 01/12/2026DescriptionCHOOSE LAKE FORESTDRIVE INTO YOUR COMPASSIONATE SIDECOMPASSIONHelp make the world a better place by assisting seniors who can no longer drive get to their appointments, events, and errands.Examples of DutiesWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Day in the life: Dickinson Hall is a dynamic community senior center primarily serving residents from the Lake Forest & Lake Bluff area.Drive Dickinson Hall's vehicle - under the direction of the Transportation CoordinatorAssist and deliver riders to destinationsDrive 1 to 2 days a weekThis is an excellent opportunity for retired individuals that are looking for something to occupy their time.Role and Expectations:Drive older adults to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other local errandsAssist seniors in and out of the car when necessaryKeep vehicle clean and full of gasThis is a 1 or 2 day a week position, hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, weekdaysQualificationsAt least 18 years of ageValid Driver's LicenseAbility to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.Possess excellent customer service skillsExcellent driving recordFriendly and patient personality is essential
