Education Specialist I

Principal ResponsibilitiesImplements, coordinates and/or evaluates the orientation of new staff to Revenue Cycle policies and procedures.Coordinates, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational programs for Revenue Cycle staff.Collects, analyzes, and/or presents data regarding orientation, education, and other activities and functions related to Quality Control and Education (QC&E).Develops and modifies curriculum to fit education objectives.Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interested of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Associates Degree or willingness to certify with HFMA as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or with NAHAM as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)Experience: 3+ years of experience on Cerner Revenue Cycle. Preferred: at least 2 years in an educator role or 1 year in a leadership/lead role in comparable field.Strong computer skills; proficiency in Word, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
