Olney offers friendly neighborhoods, excellent schools, and easy access to regional amenities while providing a supportive environment for travel technologists and imaging professionals.Job DetailsLocation: Olney, MD (20832) — Maryland radiology jobs / imaging jobs Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,260–$2,420 per week Position: Travel CT Technologist / Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) — On-site Unit: IR / Cath Lab (no floating) Shift Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7:00am–3:30pm (8-hr); Wed 7:00am–5:00pm (10-hr) Hours per Week: 40+ (includes ~2 hours OT weekly) Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday required Weekend / On-call: No weekends or on-call requiredJob Requirements / QualificationsMinimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology (IR) experience in a hospital IR/Cath Lab — CT technologist or IR tech experience preferred Prior travel technologist experience required Active Maryland Radiologic Technologist license (or compact license accepted) ARRT (R) certification — registered radiologic technologist Current ACLS and BLS certifications State fluoroscopy permit / fluoro permit required Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting / PACS workflow Ability to pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms) Clinical experience with Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm Two supervisor references required Annual influenza vaccination required (no exemptions)Responsibilities / Key DutiesScrub and maintain a sterile field for interventional, vascular, and pain procedures in the IR/Cath Lab Operate Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm to provide fluoroscopic imaging guidance for procedures Prepare imaging equipment, set up procedural trays, and ensure accurate EKG lead placement and monitoring Assist physicians during procedures and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and complications Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, anesthesia) to deliver high-quality patient care Maintain accurate procedural documentation in Cerner and adhere to radiation safety protocols Perform and assist with a variety of procedures including: Interventional: tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, PleurX catheter placements Pain management: epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations Vascular: angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filter placements Advance your career as a CT Technologist / IR Tech in a supportive hospital environment while enjoying the Olney, MD community.
