Job#: 3034197Job Description:Senior Full Stack Engineer (MarTech Engineering)OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a modern MarTech Engineering organization responsible for building and operating high-scale, real-time, cloud-native platforms that support digital marketing, personalization, and data-driven customer experiences.This role is hands-on and impact-driven, focused on distributed systems, streaming data platforms, backend services, and cloud infrastructure, with growing emphasis on AI-assisted development and system-level thinking. As a senior engineer, you will own core components, influence design decisions, and help set engineering best practices while remaining deeply involved in delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesData & Streaming Platform EngineeringDesign, implement, and maintain production-grade data processing pipelines for real-time and batch workloads using Apache Spark and Spark StreamingBuild and evolve Scala-based distributed data processing jobs supporting large-scale event ingestion and transformationDevelop streaming applications using the Kafka ecosystem, including:Kafka StreamsEvent-driven architecturesSchema governance with Avro schemasEnsure pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive tuning and monitoringBackend & Full Stack DevelopmentBuild and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring BootContribute to end-to-end solutions that span data platforms, backend services, caching layers, and cloud infrastructureImplement caching strategies using Redis, and leverage Redis Insight for monitoring and optimizationReview code, mentor peers, and uphold high standards for maintainability and performanceCloud, Platform & InfrastructureDesign and deploy cloud-native systems on GCP and AzureBuild and operate containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesOwn CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows using tools such as:Git, Maven, GradleOpsera and ArgoCDOrchestrate complex workflows and data jobs using Azure Data Factory (ADF)Observability, Reliability & OperationsInstrument and monitor systems using Dynatrace or similar observability toolsLead troubleshooting efforts for production issues, including root-cause analysis and long-term fixesDesign systems with high availability, fault tolerance, and operational resilience in mindPartner with platform and operations teams to continuously improve reliability and deployabilityAI-Assisted Engineering & Architecture ThinkingApply AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude or similar) to accelerate development, testing, and design workflowsDemonstrate strong prompting, evaluation, and control practices when using generative AI in engineering contextsContribute to architecture-level discussions, particularly where AI integration, automation, or intelligent workflows are involvedHelp establish best practices for responsible and effective AI usage within engineering teamsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on backend, full stack, or data‑intensive systemsStrong hands-on experience with Scala and/or Java in production environmentsProven expertise with:Apache Spark / Spark StreamingKafka ecosystem (Kafka Streams, Avro schemas, event-driven design)Solid working knowledge of SQL and data modeling conceptsExperience building systems on GCP and/or AzureHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesExperience owning CI/CD pipelines and build systems using Git, Maven, and GradleStrong understanding of distributed systems, scalability tradeoffs, and system design fundamentalsNice to HaveExperience with Databricks for large-scale data workloads and engineering notebooksExperience with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration toolsBackground in MarTech, ecommerce, or consumer-scale digital platformsExperience integrating or operationalizing AI-assisted developer toolingComfort operating in environments with real-time data, high traffic, and enterprise reliability requirementsSenior-Level ExpectationsOwn moderately complex systems or subsystems end to end, from design through production supportContribute meaningfully to architectural decisions while remaining hands-on in implementationRaise the quality bar through thoughtful code reviews, mentoring, and best practicesBalance speed and quality, using automation and AI tools responsibly to improve productivityCommunicate clearly with engineers, product partners, and platform teamsEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
