This is not simply our job, it's our passion.Job SummaryThe IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users. This includes answering questions and resolving computer issues for clients in person, via telephone, or from a remote location. They must assist regarding the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems in compliance with One&Only Resorts' standards of operations.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstall and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment following design or installation specificationsOversee the daily performance of computer systemsSupport the information system function within the resort, using appropriate systems management procedures and practices to ensure operating effectiveness and data integrityAssist the Director, IT in entire-network maintenance, including the administration and documentation of computer networks, telephone, and cable TV networksRead technical manuals, confers with users, and conducts computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems, providing technical supportAnswer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operations to resolve problemsSet up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate softwareConfer with colleagues to establish requirements for new systems or modificationsDevelop training materials and procedures, and/or trains users in the proper use of hardware and softwareUse and handle IT equipment with care, according to the Director's instructionsMaintain a record of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken, and installation activitiesRefer major hardware and software problems and defective products to vendors / technicians for servicePrepare evaluations of software and hardware, recommending improvements or upgradesInspect equipment and reads order sheets to prepare deliveries to usersObserve system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errorsAttend briefings and meetings as requestedPerform additional duties, as assigned by the Director, IT or other members of ManagementSkills, Experience, & Educational RequirementsPrevious experience working in IT within a resort environment is preferredRelevant entry-level certifications preferred: CompTIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft MTA, and ITIL v3 FoundationAbility to translate complex technical issues into terms easily understood by end usersProficiency in Help Desk software, ticketing systems, and endpoint management toolsExcellent customer service skills, even in times of high demand, low resources, or unhappy usersBenefitsMedical insurance - 80% of premium paid by employerHealth Savings Account with $50 employer contribution per pay periodDental, vision & life insurance - 100% of premium paid by employer5 weeks of PTO (Paid Time Off)8 paid holidaysUniform provided & complimentary launderingComplimentary transportation to/from resortComplimentary meal per shiftSubsidized housing based on availabilityDiscounts at F&B outlets on property14 nights per year starting at $100/night* at Kerzner Properties worldwideWinter season includes complimentary ski pass to Big Sky Resort based on availability OR $225 reimbursement towards gym membershipPhysical RequirementsThe ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation.Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environmentfor extended periodsFrequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pullingLifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 30 poundsRemaining in a stationary position for long periodsConstantly operating a computer and other office productivity machineryWorking in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.Our brand is expanding faster than ever before.
