Cake Decorator
Sugar And Scribe in La Jolla, CA is looking for one cake decorator to join our 52 person strong team. We are located on 7660 Fay Ave Suite I. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.
You will be working with THREE Food Network Champion Cake Chefs!

Hours offered are 6:30am-3pm
Sugar and Scribe is renowned for its cakes, cupcakes, cookies, scones, pies and other baked goods. Our pastry team is the best in the industry. You will be expected to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnight shifts and weekends. You will be expected to be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day and lift 25-50 pounds of product safely.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Decorate Cakes, Cupcakes, Cookies
Prep Fondant and Icing
Communicate and carry out the daily production plans
Make frostings
Manage daily lists of production tasks
Maintain a clean and efficient line
Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
MUST BE SKILLED WITH FONDANT!!! MUST be able to handle high production with high execution. This is position is for someone who is great with self managing and already high level of Cake Decorating. This position is not for a "Learner"or "At Home Decorator" this position is fast paced and highly skilled.

Desired Qualifications:
2 years as a Cake Decorator
Able to sculpt Fondant and gumpaste
Culinary degree preferred. . . If no degree - 2. years experience required

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Compensation is $25.00 - $28.00/hour.
