Operations SpecialistRole OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Export Documentation Specialist to manage the complex logistics and regulatory requirements of global cotton trade. You will be responsible for ensuring that high-volume cotton shipments move efficiently across borders while strictly adhering to international trade laws and contractual terms to ensure timely payment.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecialized DocumentationPrepare and verify cotton-specific export packets, including Commercial InvoicesPacking Lists, and Ocean Bills of LadingTrade FinanceManage the presentation of shipping documents to banks for Letters of Credit (LC) negotiation and ensure compliance with strict LC deadlines.Logistics Coordinationtrack shipments from warehouse to final destination.Stakeholder LiaisonAct as the primary point of contact between internal merchants, freight forwarders, Agent/brokers, and international buyers.Required QualificationsExperience1–3+ years in export documentation, preferably within soft commodities (cotton, grains, coffee, or sugar).KnowledgeDeep understanding of Incoterms, U.S. export regulations, and international payment terms.Technical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with PDFPreferred SkillsIndustry StandardsFamiliarity with International Cotton Association (ICA) a plus.Letters of CreditFull understanding in compliance, negotiation, and presentation a must.Salary & BenefitsEstimated Salary$65,000 – $80,000 per year, depending on experience.Benefits401(k) with matching, health/dental/vision/disability insurance, and annual discretionary-based bonuses.
