Quality Auditor II - 3rd Shift

Quality AuditorThe Auditor ensures product components production, assembly and packaging processes and finished product meets product specifications through use of Quality Standards, Prints, Specification, the use of Statistical Techniques, and Customer Requirements.We are seeking a Quality Auditor on 3rd shift to join our team at our Smyrna TN facility!Schedule: Sunday - ThursdayShift: 3rd 11:00 PM - 7:00 AMHourly Range: $18.50 - $20.05 + $1.10 Shift DifferentialDuties & Responsibilities:Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Assure compliance to all required industry standards and government requirements as stated in the Ideal Tridon Quality Manual, Quality Management System, process documentation and all Company Human Resources, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines to ensure customer requirements are metAll Quality Auditors have the responsibility and authority to stop production processes that are not ensuring internal or customer requirements are being metAll Quality Auditors have the responsibility and authority to identify any product as defective and label accordingly per internal proceduresMaintain and protect all company, supplier, and customer proprietary and confidential informationEnsure compliance to the Quality Management System, Quality Policy, Environmental Management System and Environmental PolicyMaintain Audit RegisterReview Quality AlertsUnderstand Travel Cards and Pack Op SheetsUnderstand the process for containing and identifying nonconforming productRelate and distribute the voice of the customer as it pertains to quality issuesMay provide quality direction to employees being auditedVisually and dimensionally check components and finished assemblies against control plan and customer specific requirements. Examples include: visually audit product for correct band stamp, correct housing stamp and correct screwAudit cartons for correct weight, carton quantity, item quantity and labeling informationMaintain clean and orderly work areaWhen necessary perform other typical duties as requiredRequired Skills & Abilities:High school diploma or equivalent education and experienceBackground in reading blue prints and using calipers and gages is requiredPrefer previous hands-on knowledge and experience in quality auditing product in a manufacturing function or similar manufacturing experienceAble to use hand tools, measurement equipment and gages to accomplish auditsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SQC Pack)Physical Requirements:Will sit, stand, bend, and stoop for continuous periods of time. Will walk frequently and use both hands and arms to occasionally lift weight up to 40 pounds is required. Perform in a sitting position while keypunching. Adequate vision to read and understand written instructions and prints is required. Maintain regular attendance and overtime requirements.
