Part-time Accountant

Warnick CPA Services is a growing local CPA practice in Munroe Falls, Ohio. Our firm specializes in providing payroll, tax, and accounting services to small businesses and tax matters for individuals. We believe in treating our clients' tax matters as if they were ours and try only to bring on clients that are relationship-oriented. We provide a flexible and supportive environment that is not typical of many larger CPA practices. This role can develop into more of a full-time role for the right candidate. We will provide on-the-job training and flexible scheduling if needed. We believe in giving credit where credit is due and believe that your success is ours. Accountant Duties · Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions · Assist in the preparation of simple to moderately complex individual and corporate tax returns · Support month-end and year-end close processes · Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations Skills & Abilities · 1 to 5 years of accounting and tax return preparation work - Required · Knowledge of accounting principles and practices – Required · Must be able to pass a thorough background and drug test - Required · Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, and QuickBooks Desktop and Online – Required; Drake Tax Software - Preferred · Proficiency in using accounting software for data entry, analysis, and reporting · Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping · Experience in public accounting or a similar role is highly desirable · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team · Professional appearance and demeanor with good presentation skills Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
