Cloud DevOps Engineer – AWS/Kubernetes

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced *AWS EKS/Kubernetes Engineer* with strong hands-on expertise in *Kubernetes/EKS platform administration, AWS cloud infrastructure, and Terraform/Infrastructure-as-Code*. The ideal candidate will have experience *building, provisioning, managing, and troubleshooting EKS environments on AWS*, rather than simply deploying applications onto an existing Kubernetes platform. The primary focus of this role is *EKS/Kubernetes infrastructure and platform engineering*. Candidates are not expected to have expertise across every AWS service but should have a solid understanding of the AWS services and infrastructure components required to operate EKS effectively. Key Responsibilities * Design, build, provision, and manage *Amazon EKS/Kubernetes clusters* on AWS. * Perform *Kubernetes/EKS cluster administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting*. * Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using *Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)*. * Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for EKS and supporting AWS infrastructure. * Manage EKS components including *node groups, networking, IAM, security groups, load balancers, storage, and cluster add-ons*. * Troubleshoot Kubernetes cluster, node, networking, resource, and workload-related issues. * Monitor EKS cluster health, capacity, performance, and availability. * Support Kubernetes upgrades, node upgrades, configuration changes, and platform maintenance. * Work with AWS networking and infrastructure components such as *VPC, subnets, IAM, security groups, load balancing, and Route 53* as required for EKS. * Implement and maintain secure and highly available Kubernetes infrastructure. * Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application teams to support Kubernetes workloads. * Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes. * Participate in incident resolution and root-cause analysis for EKS/Kubernetes platform issues.
