Mechanical Engineer

Position OverviewSavant is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support a wide range of renovation and new construction projects. This role will focus on HVAC and mechanical system design from concept through construction.Key Responsibilities:• Design of HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage teams for integrated design solutions• Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and system assessments• Participate in client meetings and present design solutions• Support QA/QC processes and mentor junior staffQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field• 5+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience• EIT or PE preferred (or on track)• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit strongly preferred• Knowledge of mechanical codes, energy standards, and industry best practices• Strong communication and coordination skills• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
