Our close-knot team of highly cleared engineers, analysts, and program managers represent some of the best talent locally available.We are looking for a Platform Engineer (Senior) to join our visible technical program driving the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) cloud platform that supports collection, management and analysis of digital engineering information in an architecture that provides seamless digital thread and enables tool interoperability, including data structures suitable for AI applications. This program delivers engineering services for Linux and Windows cloud-based infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, Cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflows. Our platform uses a mix of Open Source, Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) software and targets cloud-native constructs. The environment offers a secure-by-default configuration, implementing an Infrastructure-as-Code approach, and governance policies. We follow a mostly Agile workflow and adhere to DevSecOps principles. We value fast iteration and a customer-oriented approach while being mindful about security. This is a fast paced, challenging, and career rewarding experience to recruit and develop top talent and solutions on one of the most complex and high-profile programs within the government customer community.Key Skills: Cloud, AWS, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Linux, CI/CDResponsibilities:Provide IT technical services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areasComplete complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activitiesDeploy and maintain infrastructure in a cloud-based environmentManage networking, including ingress/egress for service routing and zero-trust accessWork with internal engineering resources as well as customer end-users to design and enhance the user interfaces for supported applications, maintaining responsive designs that accommodate challenging technical and functional requirementsCreate and maintain automated unit test cases meeting the required code coverage thresholdsSupport operations functions, including root cause identification, remediation and documentation (e.g., user guides, 'how to' guides, infrastructure diagrams)Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments on technical issues including software system troubleshooting and maintenance and to communicate project statusesIntegrate platform components and operators; implement the deployment and monitoring for these following IaC, CaC and DevSecOps principlesMonitor system performanceTest new features and services and fix bugsDevelop mature solutions for monitoring and reporting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana and SplunkDevelop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for DBs, Servers, and applications using DevSecOps tools to include Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Foreman, GitLab, SeleniumConfigure IdAM, Active Directory, LDAP resourcesPrepare technical presentations for government and senior leadershipWork effectively in a group environmentWork across infrastructure that contains both Linux and WindowsCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical, management and customer both written and verballyUtilize robust troubleshooting skillsInstill and apply solid engineering rigor, to include configuration management, testingDevelop/engineer as part of an Agile scrum teamRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience. Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field is required.
