Our team is built on safety, accountability, and technical excellence, and we take pride in developing leaders who deliver results.We are currently seeking a seasoned Traveling Superintendent to oversee major projects across North Carolina and South Carolina.Position SummaryThe Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing plumbing construction projects exceeding $7.5 million in value, with a strong emphasis on healthcare facilities such as hospitals, medical office buildings, and specialty care centers. This role leads crews of 20+ employees across multiple job sites, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and productivity.As a front-line representative of Precision Plumbing, the Superintendent will coordinate closely with Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and trade partners to successfully deliver on projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & OversightSupervise all plumbing installation and repair work including domestic water, sanitary sewer, and stormManage large crews including Foremen, Journeymen, Apprentices, Laborers, and SubcontractorsLead daily huddles, weekly planning meetings, and 4‑week look‑ahead schedulesCoordinate work with general contractors, inspectors, engineers, and other tradesRepresent Precision Plumbing professionally on all job sitesProject Execution & DocumentationRead and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and plumbing codesMaintain accurate as‑built drawings and daily jobsite reports using company technologyPlan and track materials, equipment, deliveries, and manpower needsEnsure installations meet contract requirements, healthcare standards, and local codesSafety LeadershipServe as the Competent Person on-siteEnforce OSHA, company, and client safety policiesConduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, safety walks, and PPE inspectionsComplete all required safety documentation accurately and on timeTraining & DevelopmentCoach and mentor Foremen and crew members to improve leadership, productivity, and craftsmanshipPromote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementSupport workforce development and succession planning within the field teamsQualificationsRequired10+ years of plumbing experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman roleProven ability to manage multimillion-dollar commercial and industrial projectsStrong healthcare plumbing experience including hospitals and medical facilitiesExtensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methodsExcellent leadership, scheduling, and communication skillsOSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 90 daysValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordWillingness to travel extensively and stay on project sites as requiredPreferredHigh School Diploma or GEDJourneyman license or equivalent experienceCurrent certifications in First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Aerial Platform, Forklift, Rigging, and related safety trainingWorking ConditionsProjects are located throughout North Carolina and South CarolinaExtended travel and overnight stays are requiredMust be available by phone outside normal work hours to support project needsWhy Join UsCompetitive base payPer diem provided for travel assignmentsRelocation reimbursement available for candidates who choose to relocateComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to lead high-profile healthcare and commercial projectsSupportive, safety-focused, and growth-oriented work environmentLong-term career advancement with a regional industry leaderApply TodayIf you are a driven, safety-conscious leader with strong healthcare plumbing experience and the ability to manage complex projects, we want to hear from you.Precision Plumbing & Service, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Powered by JazzHRKNLbOhzam9
