Our team includes ten outstanding Board Certified Gastroenterologists, with a combined experience of over 100 years of treating patients.We value the health, service, and satisfaction of our patients above all else.Job Purpose:Recall & Referral Scheduler ensures patients are being contacted and scheduled efficiently. The Recall & Referral department will be responsible for contacting all physician recall patients and all physician referral patients to schedule an office consultation, an open access procedure or a recall procedure.Duties: (includes, but are not limited to)Calling patients and scheduling their appointmentsResponding efficiently and accurately to patientsEffectively communicating with physicians, staff and patientsEngaging in active listening to patientsUtilizing software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriatelyAdhering to all company policies and proceduresFlexibility is essentialRecall & Referral scheduler will perform other essential activities or duties as assigned on an as needed or regular basis by his/her designee Anticipated Schedule:Monday- Thursday 8 AM- 5 PMFriday- 8 AM- 1 PMLocation:2001 2nd AvenueSuite 101Summerville, SC 29486Requirements:Minimum Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent2 years experience in healthcare preferred Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Medical TerminologyWork independentlyManage multiple prioritiesOutstanding customer service skillsExperience with high patient volumeExcellent telephone etiquette and manner, and ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyAbility to exercise tact under pressureAbility to work in a team environment and effectively contribute as a member of a teamExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to express self clearlyAbility to act as a team member and to exhibit initiative to benefit Charleston G.I. and those it servesAccuracy, integrity and professionalismAbility to exhibit prompt, reasonable, reliable and sustainable attendance
