Machine Operator / Warehouse AssociateThis role involves operating production equipment, performing light assembly, packaging products, and supporting general warehouse activities in a clean, team-oriented environment. You will work with a small group to ensure products are accurately labeled, meet quality standards, and are prepared for shipment, while following all safety and PPE requirements.ResponsibilitiesOperate slitter and other production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.Perform minor equipment setup and adjustments as needed to support production operations.Carry out assembly tasks to build or prepare products for packaging and shipment.Label products and packaging accurately to ensure correct identification and traceability.Conduct basic quality checks (QC) on products and packaging to confirm they meet required standards.Package products securely and neatly to prepare them for storage or shipment.Handle materials, including moving, staging, and organizing items within the warehouse or production area.Work collaboratively in teams of 24 people, communicating clearly and supporting teammates to meet production goals.Follow written instructions, work orders, and basic documentation related to production and packaging.Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety, PPE, and housekeeping guidelines.Comply with all company policies and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and equipment.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of prior warehouse experience or equivalent experience in a similar environment.Experience with machine operation in a production or warehouse setting.Hands-on experience with packaging and assembly tasks.Ability to perform basic material handling, including moving and organizing products and supplies.Manual dexterity and good handeye coordination to operate equipment and perform detailed tasks safely.Basic reading skills to follow written instructions, labels, and work orders.Basic writing skills to complete simple forms or documentation as needed.Basic math skills to count, measure, and verify quantities accurately.Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and follow directions.Commitment to following safety procedures and consistently using required PPE.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a clean manufacturing or production environment.Familiarity with slitter or similar industrial equipment.Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.Ability to adapt to changing workloads and support overtime when required.Strong attention to detail for labeling, quality checks, and packaging.Why Work Here?You will join a clean, structured, and team-focused environment where collaboration and safety are top priorities. The standard schedule is a first shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime based on production volume. The role involves operating machinery, performing assembly and packaging tasks, and handling materials throughout the shift. Dress code requires jeans or other durable work pants; leggings and sweatpants are not permitted. All required personal protective equipment must be worn, including safety glasses, nitrile gloves, and cut-resistant gloves. You are expected to provide your own steel-toe boots. The environment emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to established procedures.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nevada, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
