Senior Java Developer

Lead Software EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and modern backend / frontend technologies, a strong understanding of system design, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include:Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications and servicesLead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisionsBuild and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systemsEnsure application performance, scalability, reliability, and securityWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practicesConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersMentor junior engineers and support team knowledge sharingCollaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholdersTroubleshoot complex technical issues in development and production environmentsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvementRequired qualifications include:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of professional experience in software developmentStrong proficiency in Java (Java 17+)Experience with Spring / Spring BootSolid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principlesExperience building RESTful APIs and backend servicesStrong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD pipelinesExperience working in Agile development environmentsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsPreferred qualifications include:Experience with microservices architectureExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of message queues / streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra)Understanding of security best practices and authentication (OAuth2, JWT)Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical systems
