Posting is for the 2026/2027 School YearJob Title:Title I Educational AssistantFLSA Status:NonExemptReports To:Principal, Instructional CoordinatorDate:July 2023Purpose of Job:Perform instructional interventions under the direct supervision of the Title I Interventionist.Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.General Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Required to work under direct supervision of the Title I InterventionistProvide intervention to students based on individual student learning deficit and in compliance with federal guidelines under ESEAAdminister a variety of assessments to determine students' areas of strength and deficits and to guide the use of an appropriate interventionAttend Professional Intervention Team (PIT) meetings when appropriate and offer insightsMaintain student records as directed by the Title I InterventionistAttend all in-service and faculty meetings when directed to do so by the principal or Director of SchoolsEnsure that the use of the district's resources (time, money, people) are used in the most strategic and effective way possibleOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject a positive image of the LSSD at all times and support district goalsMaintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of district informationSupport the effective delivery of a high quality of education for all studentsProvide exceptional levels of professional support and service to staff and publicMay operate a motor vehicle to conduct various work activitiesSuccessful completion of Criminal Justice fingerprint/background process and drug screenAppropriate Attendance RecordDress neatly and appropriately, according to system staff dress codePlease note: this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
