Architectural Drafter/Designer

Company Description Farris Concepts in Architecture PC was started in 1995 by Ron D. Farris to provide full service residential design services that are responsive to client goals and objectives in a relaxed, personal setting. Role Description This is a full-time on-site paid role for an Intern Architect located in Nashville, TN. The Architectural drafter/designer will be responsible for assisting with architectural design, collaborating on project management tasks, integrating various software tools, and supporting the development of architectural projects. Daily tasks will also include creating construction drawings, floor plans, elevations, and details tailored to each client’s vision and site conditions. Responsibilities: Produce accurate and organized architectural drawings using AutoCAD Develop construction documents for permit and construction Create highly detailed SketchUp models and renderings Translate design concepts and sketches into technical drawings Coordinate with consultants and contractors as needed Revise drawings based on feedback and redlines Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture 1+ years of experience 2+ years in AutoCAD (SketchUp a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks Excellent communication and teamwork skills Motivated and eager to learn Location: 3828 Bedford Ave, Nashville, TN 37215 Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm & Friday, 7am-12pm Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Work Location: In person
