This is the Lombardo way.WHAT YOU'LL DOThe quick overviewLombardo Homes is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join its team in O'Fallon. The Purchasing Manager will manage ofall aspects of the Purchasing Department.The nitty-gritty stuffAct as a liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, trade partners, relevant internal departments and customers.Identify qualified supplier and trade partners and maintain a good working relationship with existing partners.Update and verify complete scopes of work for each trade partnerNegotiate contracts and pricing and monitor their success.Check on quality of work performed to Lombardo Homes standards.Ensure all payments are being processed.Keep well organized contract files and using them as reference for the future. As a minimum, have an updated copy ofinsurance, pricing, bids, master construction agreements, and updated information, i.e. phone numbers and contacts.Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and ease ofbusiness. Quality should be considered but assumed.Forecast levels of demand for services and products to meet business needs.Forecast price trends and their impact on future strategy, proformas, and the selling seasons.Ensure the trade partners are aware of business objectives and what we will expect of them.Attend of Field meetings and need involved with L TPCEnsure career development is promoted for all employees within the group. Complete reviews for each direct report.Ensure Fieldview is current and all the appropriate people are trained. Monitor to meet current business strategies.Seamless and productive relationship between purchasing and estimating.Product enhancement and innovation.WHAT YOU NEEDA high school diploma is required. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, construction management, or projectmanagement is preferred.A minimum 5 years' experience in residential purchasing and estimating or a related field (construction preferred).A full understanding of the elements of effective negotiating, including win-win negotiations.Ability to read and understand house plans, engineering plans, specifications, and geological reports.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Preferred knowledge of purchasing and estimating systems, including but not limited to FAST/Builder ManagementSystems.WHAT WE'LL GIVE YOUCompetitive salary with annual bonus potential.401k with company match.Company-provided life insurance.Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, FSA, long-term disability, voluntary life insurance, accidentinsurance.Company-sponsored employee events.Company DescriptionFounded over 50 years ago, Lombardo Homes established its reputation as a leader in home building excellence.
