Test Firmware Engineer

As a Test Firmware Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.Job Title: Test Firmware EngineerLocation: Aplo Alto, CaliforniaPay Range: $53 per on W2What's the Job?Develop and maintain embedded firmware and device drivers for PCBAs and ECUs. Perform design verification and validation (DV/TV) of PCBAs and ECUs to ensure quality and reliability. Create and execute test cases and automation scripts using Python and C to streamline testing processes. Set up and support test benches and validation environments for ECU testing, ensuring accurate results. Collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance. What's Needed?Strong experience in embedded C/C++ programming and firmware development for PCBAs/ECUs. Hands-on experience with test automation scripting in Python and C. Knowledge of ECU validation, testing, and debugging techniques. Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
