If this sounds like you, and you want an opportunity where your commitment to quality and productivity will be rewarded, please keep reading!We’re Freedom Forever, a fast-growing solar company known for innovation and quality, and we’re looking for people who want an opportunity to build a career with us as a Roof Lead!As a member of our branch operations team, you'll be leading a crew to perform residential solar system installations for our customers.Position SummaryTheRoof Leadis responsible forassembling, installing and/ormaintainingsolarphotovoltaic (PV) systems on varying surfaces (rooftop, ground mount, use specific structures, etc.).Daily activities are inclusive of, but not limited to, measuring, cutting, drilling, working from height, minor electrical work,assistingwith structural upgrades, using hand/power tooling, reading plan-sets, following direction, following safe work practices, andassistingsenior members of the designated installation team.The Roof Leadis responsible forensuring quality andsafepractices for all work performed on the PV array (roof or ground mount).Essentialjob Duties And ResponsibilitiesDrivingCompany vehicle to and from the branchLoading and unloading company vehicle with project materialsLoading and unloading materials to and from the roof/structure being installed onAssemble all roof components in an efficient and safe mannerPerformall PV electrical work independently or under direct supervision.Perform ground and final wire electrical work both independently and under direct supervisionProvidingdirection and task assignment for all work performed at the PV array (roof or ground mount)Updating andmaintainingconstant communication with the crew lead onsiteInstall projects adhering to Freedom Forever plan setsFlashing penetrations as needed to ensure project qualityEnsure all work is performed in strict compliance with Freedom Forever policies, applicable codes (Ex: NFPA-70, IRC, IFC, CA-T24, etc.).Strictly follow all Freedom Forever safety regulations and policiesExperience1 year of PV installation experience is required inclusive of a minimum of 6 months leading an installation crewBasic electrical and PV installation (racking and module install)Physical Demands And AbilitiesUse hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controlsStand for long periods of timeWalk or run for long periods of timeClimb ladders, scaffolds, or polesKneel, stoop, crouch, or crawlBend, stretch, twist, or reach outRepeat the same movementsSee details of objects that are less than a few feet awayDetermine the distance between objectsUse fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objectsMake quick, precise adjustments to machine controlsHold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the armUse one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objectsUnderstand the speech of another personUse muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objectsSee differences between colors, shades, and brightnessMove two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in placeUse stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tiredKeep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable positionReact quickly using hands, fingers, or feetConstant need of peripheral visionFrequently lift, push, or pull 50-70 poundsHigh PriorityFreedom Forever is an equal opportunityemployer.
