At Parkview, you’ll work in a hospital empowered by system support yet rooted in community impact.Job SummaryPerforms magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practiceEssential FunctionsReceive, relay and document verbal, facsimile, electronic and/or telephone orders in the patient’s chart as permitted by state and company policiesProvide education and prepare patients for proceduresSelect the appropriate protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safetyApply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and othersApply three basic principles of radiation safety: time, distance and shieldingObserve patient and machine during procedure and report any unexpected outcomesClean and disinfect x-ray room and equipment as per infection control policyEvaluate images for proper positioning and determine if additional images will improve the procedure or treatment outcomeEvaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recordedCorroborate a patient’s clinical history with the procedure and ensure information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitionerPostprocess images and dataVerify archival storage of exam data. Assist in maintaining medical records while respecting confidentiality and established policy. Identify and respond to emergency situations.
