A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work in a 42-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 or 1:3 patient ratios • Scheduled for every 3rd weekend • No on-call responsibilities • May float to general pediatrics and PICU • Care for premature infants and patients with respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, and other neonatal conditions • Administer vasopressors, sedation, and glucose as required • Must have 24 months of NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care experience • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) • Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required • Must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 18 months • Experience and comfort with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose administration required • Skills checklist specific to NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care required • Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months preferred Facility: This children's hospital specializes in comprehensive pediatric and neonatal care, featuring a modern 42-bed NICU equipped with advanced life support technology.
