Industrial Painter

Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Broken Arrow Team as Industrial Painter on 2nd shift. Hours are Monday - Friday 3:00p.m. - 11:00p.m with occasional overtime. Our goal is for all employees to work safely without injury while maintaining the highest safety standards in compliance with company policies.INDUSTRIAL PAINTER - Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Calibrate titration on cabinet washer and operate washer to clean product prior to paintDetermine if material is prepared for paint processCommunicate with Manufacturing Engineering Department if material is not paint readyPrep paint area prior to paintingSet-up/blast with sand, shot or gritStrip and prepare various surfaces for paintingInterpret sandblasting related work orders to plan materials, tools, and techniques needed for completion of workMix paint to proper ratio as determined by supplierPaint various products at various angles using airless systems, cup guns, and paint tanksRead blueprints to determine specified paint colorUse hoists and lifts to lifts to position and move productUse computer to document completion of unitHousekeeping in paint area, including taking apart and cleaning paint gunEnsure proper handling and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous waste usedReview all work performed to ensure compliance with all safety standardsKnowledgeable on safety practices relating to ventilation of confined spacesMust be able to tape and mask off areas for non-blast area protectionMust be able to pass required safety checksDaily visual inspections of area safety equipmentParticipate improvements to enhance productivity product qualityMust actively demonstrate good housekeeping practicesAnd other duties as assignedINDUSTRIAL PAINTER - Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMust be able to follow all verbal or written work instruction, operations, and proceduresHave the ability to use a variety of pneumatic paint guns and precision instruments (paint thickness tester, air flow meter, gloss meter)Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprintsAbility to recognize irregularities of finishUnderstand the variety of paints, their proper mix ratios and dry timesAbility to use material handling equipment (Floor jack and stand-up forklift, etc.) to pull and position parts and materials necessary to perform your assigned tasksAbility to work around a variety of chemicals including but not limited to paints, solvents, soaps, and catalysts.Basic computer skills required for production management systems.INDUSTRIAL PAINTER - Physical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Must have good hand eye coordination and hand dexterity.Must be physically able to use hand tools and power tools frequently.Must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms.Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8 to10 hours per day.Must be able to frequently bend and squat.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be able to apply 65 pounds of push/pull force.Must be comfortable with frequent exposure to greases, oils, solvents, and surface coatings.Must be capable of safely working with and around heavy machinery and equipment.Must be able to see clearly and follow written instructions.Must be able to communicate clearly.
