Head Start TeacherThe primary scope of this position is to plan and implement high-quality early education and child development services and provide ongoing assessment and guidance to Head Start (HS) children (three (3) to five (5) years). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree in early childhood education/child development, required; or associate degree in any major with at least 12 credits in early childhood education/child development.Six (6) months in a similar position working with pre-school aged children and able to supervise and interact with a group of 15-20 preschool children.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in early childhood education/child development preferred or at least 12 credits in early childhood Education.Twelve (12) months in a similar position working with pre-school aged children and able to supervise and interact with a group of 15-20 preschool children.Safety is one of our core company values. This will include sitting, walking, bending, reading, etc.Physically capable to handle office machinery and equipment on an average of 3 to 4 hours per dayPhysically capable to lift up to 30 pounds as needed throughout the day.Physically capable to push up to 40 pounds as needed throughout the day.Ability to use calculator, copier, and fax machine.The work environment is that which is typical of a classroom setting. The noise level in the environment is usually very loud and noisy.Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and have access to a vehicle which is insured as required by the Texas Financial Responsibility Law.
