Watsonville Post Acute Center - Position SummaryThe purpose of your job position is to provide each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your supervisors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssessment and development of resident care plansEnsuring that all nursing care is provided in privacyChecking vital signs Dressing woundsPassing out medicationsAssisting with admissionsMaking rounds with physiciansStarting IVsListening to residents and their familiesAddressing questions/concerns of residentsPerforming accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notesProviding assistance to LVNs and CNAsEnsuring equipment is in good operating orderMonitoring residents that are at risk for fallsCollecting lab samplesAbiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwordsFollowing Infection and Control policiesReporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediatelyAttending annual facility in-service training programsCompleting other assignments when requested by management Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
