Operations Computer Support/Computer Assistant
*Position Summary:* The Computer Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for all off-network security systems and force protection devices within Medical Education and Training Campus (METC). The Computer Assistant is responsible for the continuous operation, accountability, and preventative maintenance of a campus-wide Electronic Security System (ESS) comprised of over 1,353 devices. The ESS integrates and centralizes Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Alarms, Card Readers, the Serious Incident Reporting System, and Access Control across all 11 METC facilities.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
*· System Administration and Problem Resolution.*
o Serve as the principal point of contact for off-network security systems and force protection devices.
o Resolve all problems concerning the campus-wide ESS, Business Intelligence (BI) systems, and IT automation systems related to physical security.
o Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems associated with the security network.
o Manage access control parameters, resolve password violations, and maintain user access databases.
o Address and resolve telecommunication troubles and work orders specifically related to off-network security devices.
*· Maintenance and Accountability.*
o Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on the entire ESS device ecosystem (currently over 1,353 devices).
o Provide strict inventory and accountability of all force protection and ESS hardware. Ensure the continuous functionality and integration of CCTV cameras, alarm panels, card readers, and access control mechanisms.
o Guarantee the operational readiness of the Serious Incident Reporting System.
*· Risk Mitigation and Force Protection.*
o Mitigate the identified risk of unauthorized access by ensuring all access control nodes are fully functional and compliant with AT/FP requirements for IET students.
o Work IAW the JBSA-FSH installation service support agreement to ensure internal force protection standards are consistently met.
o Provide system reports and dashboards utilizing Business Intelligence tools to inform METC leadership of security postures, vulnerabilities, and system health.
*Education and Experience:*
· Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or a related field. A high school diploma or GED with five (5) years of directly related experience may be substituted.
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
· Experience administering and maintaining enterprise electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm systems, and related physical security technologies.
· Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user access, maintaining system inventories, performing preventive maintenance, and generating system reports is required.
· Experience supporting Business Intelligence reporting tools and working within Department of Defense or other secure environments is highly desirable.
*Training Requirements**:* Defense Health Agency (DHA) initial and annual training requirements, and comply with all DHA policies, procedures, productivity standards, and instructions as provided.
*Supervisory Responsibilities**:* None
*Physical Demands**:* Prolonged periods of standing shall be required while conducting lectures, facilitating and hands-on instruction.
*Travel Requirements**:* None
*Work Environment**:* 100% of work is conducted in a office setting.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
