OverviewJPW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking a Rigger to join their team!Assemble, disassemble and move heavy equipment & bulky objects by selecting and using the various rigging hardware, such as ropes, slings, shackles, clamps, chain falls, and come-a-longs in a correct and safe manner.ResponsibilitiesSkill RequirementsExperience with heavy equipment and material movingIn-depth knowledge of rigging equipmentExcellent spatial awarenessGood communication skillsOSHA 103+ years working as a riggerPhysical RequirementsMust be at least 21 years of age.Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing during course of employment.Possess the coordination, physical strength, and agility to complete required tasks within the allotted time frame.Able to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body, arms and/or legs without restriction.Acceptable visual acuity, either corrected or uncorrected.Able to work at heights and in extreme temperatures and moderately inclement weatherQualifications3+ years experience in weldingFamiliarity with welding tools and proceduresBasic knowledge and understanding of layoutFamiliarity with reading and understanding blueprintsAbility to handle physical workloadStarting Wage will DOE
