We move fast, manage dozens of active projects at once, and we’re ready to build the technology that matches our pace.The RoleWe’re looking for a sharp full-stack engineer who can own the build of Ovel’s internal software platform from scratch — replacing a patchwork of disconnected tools with one intelligent, AI-powered system built around how we actually work.This is a ground-floor opportunity. You’ll work directly with the CEO and have full ownership over architecture and product decisions.What You’ll Build• A custom CRM and project management system tailored to our business• AI-powered email monitoring across multiple inboxes — flagging action items, vendor delays, missing data, and repeat-trip risks• Automated alerts for missing project data (POs, installation costs, delivery dates)• Vendor tracking: lead times, performance, reliability, cost patterns• Estimating and document generation tools• Dashboard giving leadership real-time visibility into every open jobWhat We’re Looking For• 3+ years of full-stack development experience• Strong with Python, Node.js, or similar backend• Experience building with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)• Comfortable with SQL databases and API integrations (Gmail API, etc.)• Product-minded — you think about what the user needs, not just what the spec says• Local to NY — we want you in the roomBonus Points• Experience in operations, logistics, or field-service software• Familiarity with Google Workspace APIs• Prior startup or small-team experienceWhy Join• Build something from zero — your fingerprints on the whole product• Direct access to the CEO and fast decision-making• Competitive salary + growth opportunity as the company scales
