If so, we invite you to bring your expertise to the City of Keene as our next Accounting & Fund Manager.In this key leadership role, you'll do more than manage numbers, you'll help guide the financial health and long-term success of City operations.What You'll DoAs a vital member of the City's finance team, you'll lead and support a wide range of accounting, budgeting, and financial management activities, including, but not limited to:Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including presentations for City CouncilPlaying a central role in developing both annual operating and capital budgetsServing as the primary financial partner for assigned departments and fundsProviding organization-wide financial analysis to support programs, services, and strategic initiativesLeading the annual independent audit process and coordinating across teamsMonitoring cash flow, advising on liquidity, and supporting investment decisionsOverseeing fixed asset accounting and reconciliation processesStrengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and City policiesEvaluating and improving financial systems, processes, and customer service deliverySupporting grant, enterprise, and special revenue fund accountingManaging and supporting the City's financial software systems and cloud-based solutionsLeading system improvements, integrations, and data management initiativesTraining and supporting staff across departments on financial tools and best practicesIdentifying opportunities to leverage technology for efficiency and better decision-makingOur CommunityKeene is a progressive city with the heart of a town, the cultural and economic hub of the Monadnock region.Keene is an energetic community that provides services, programs, and resources for a much greater population than the residents of the city alone. A strong understanding of governmental accounting practices and financial operations is essential. A valid driver's license is required.Salary and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $78,789- $98,186 annually and will also receive an attractive benefits package which includes low deductible/low-cost health insurance, low-cost dental insurance, State of NH Group I retirement, and other benefits such as life insurance, disability, and paid time off.
